Job Description
Electrotank is currently seeking a full-time, detail-oriented Flash Production Artist to join their growing team of highly skilled professionals. As a member of the Electrotank team, you will be illustrating and animating for next-generation online multiplayer games and virtual worlds. While we prefer that you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, this is an off-site position. The Flash Production Artist we hire must have a proven track record working in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Create web-based illustrations and interactive animations
- Take design specs and prototypes and bring them to life with your in-depth knowledge of Flash
Requirements
- 2+ years Flash illustration & animation experience -- Flash game experience a plus
- A Degree in the Web Graphics or Animation field is required
- Experience drawing in Flash utilizing lines and fills
- Traditional drawing and animation experience is required
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to take Static Comps and build out a final flash deliverable quickly and accurately
- Advanced skills in the following software applications: Flash, Photoshop is required
- Experience with 3D software is a plus
- Basic knowledge of html, xhtml, and css is a plus
- Personal Portfolio website with Flash work preferred
- Ability to supply .fla and .swf files for review
- Must be willing and able to accept both strategic and creative input/feedback
- Ability to have fun at work and be able to say that you really love being a Flash Production Artist.
- A "people person" personality is highly preferred

Job Description
Qualified applicant must have a passion for online game development. Primary responsibilities include programming robust, state-of-the-art multiplayer online games and virtual worlds using ActionScript3. Frequent travel with the Electrotank team for project kick-offs, and attendance at industry conferences 2-3 times a year, is required. Applicants must possess excellent time management skills, and be able to work independently under tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Qualifications
- Expert in ActionScript2, proficiency in ActionScript3
- 3+ years Flash programming experience
- Previous game development background, specifically with multiplayer game platforms
- Proficiency in OO programming concepts and techniques
- Knowledge and previous use of ElectroServer or equivalent socket-server
- Programming experience using Java a plus

Job Description
Qualified applicant will work closely with several multi-national clients to develop and help maintain leading real-time, web-based games. Applicant must be able to troubleshoot and resolve problems and software bugs quickly. Responsible for spear-heading development projects and working under tight deadlines. Strong communication, interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work independently are a must. You must possess a proficiency and interest in online game development. Travel to industry events 3-4 times a year is required. This full-time position offers flexible hours with the ability to work from home.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years Java development experience;
- Expert knowledge of Java 1.5 or higher, with a solid understanding of generics, networking, concurrency, and JDBC;
- Experience with web application development, Tapestry knowledge preferred;
- Experience with IOC/DI containers, Spring/Pico, as well as common build tools (ANT and Maven) a strong plus;
- Familiarity with architecture and design patterns;
